ZimVic Sports Club
ZimVic Sports Club is a non-profit organisation and an affiliate to the Zimbabwe Community in Australia (VIC), that was established in 2007 with the vision to assist Zimbabwean Immigrants integrate into the Australian life and mainstream society by fostering relations through sport.
To date the association made a lot of positive impacts on Zimbabwean youths, families and the community and has enjoyed unprecedented success by winning various community tournaments in Melbourne and around Australia, and notably returning the ZimPride Trophy four times from 2008, 2009, 2010 & 2012.
Club Aims
(a) To foster and promote all sports for all ages and genders across the Zimbabwean community in Victoria.
(b)To raise funds for the improvement of the Club.
(c)To promote mateship by fostering relationships across communities through sports.
(d)To promote and maintain Christian standards of behaviour and sportsmanship throughout the club activities.
(e)To promote the local community events for the benefit of the wider community.
(f)To operate as a not for profit organisation so that the assets and income of the Club shall be applied solely in furtherance of its above-mentioned objects and no portion shall be distributed directly or indirectly to the members of the Club except as bona fide compensation for services rendered or expenses incurred on behalf of the Club.
2015 ZimPride Tournament
Fostering relationships through sport
ZimVic Sports Club is hosting the 8th annual ZimPride Interstate Soccer Tournament being held over the 2015 Easter holidays from Saturday 4th of April to Sunday 5th April 2015 in Melbourne, at Springers Leisure Complex located at 400 Cheltenham Road Keysborough.
